West Seneca New York Could Use Reputation Management

by Rae Hoffman on March 4, 2007 | General Babble

I had to laugh my ass off the other day as I was searching for some information. Florida is only a temporary stop for me and I will likely move within the next few years (though not within the next year if I’m sane) and I’ve been researching some potential places to possibly move to. The town of West Seneca, New York was one of them, so imagine my surprise, then revulsion, when I did a search for “move to west seneca new york” on Google:

Yeah, I’m thinking West Seneca could use some do it yourself reputation management or professional help. No matter how much positive stuff I find on the town now, all I can hear in the back of my mind is, “there is apparently a rat problem”.

Sugarrae runs on the Thesis WordPress Theme

Thesis WordPress theme

If you’re someone who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality that you wouldn’t be able to obtain otherwise with a simple control panel instead of having to alter code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

For those "in between", like myself, I’ve created "dummy" guides for Thesis hooks that allow us to make more professional customizations than we ever deemed possible. The theme is not only highly customizable, but it has allowed me to run Sugarrae more professionally, with a much more targeted focus on monetization than it ever has been able to achieve before. You can find out more about Thesis below:

May I suggest Woodstock, NY if you’re considering a move to up-state New York. No rats, beautiful land, great golf and a great place to live year-round. (I think there’s a poker room within a three-hour drive too.) ;-)

Is that where the Taco Bell was? :)

Leave Florida for NY? If you choose Chicago Ill do a house swap with you. I prefer beaches to snow any day.

My prediction is that you will move to NY and have an affair with graywolf. ;)

Hahahaha. Never. He’d kill himself. But, I guess that would be ok, as long as he spent time being a pre-baking and freezing whore before he offed himself. Besides, I have no interest to have his wife’s foot up my ass. :P

Rae,
Would you consider Portland / Seattle / Vancouver?
My wife and I are looking for new digs. New York is too cold.

Love your blog. You are funny!!
Please read my latest diatribe and let me know if you chuckle. You might be the first.

LOL Mark – can’t see myself on the west coast, but if I ever can, I’ll let you know. I’m a born and bred east coast girl. :-)

I’ve been living in West Seneca for the better part of twenty years. I can safely say that our community is rodent free. The former infestation that was the scourge of our town is no longer an issue. Although at times, it was touch and go, our top-notch “seek and destroy” chefs took charge and eliminated this black mark on our otherwise sterling reputation. Thanks to a low bid contract with Wilkersons Exterminating, the problem is now a non-issue. In other news, The school lunch budget has been dramatically reduced due to “creative menu adaptation” by school board president Spivey Wilkerson. Incidentally, this years “Meet and Greet Chinese Barbeque” for new board members at Mr Wilkersons lakeshore retreat was a smashing success! Kudos to Spivey and the rest of the school board for a job well done.

Thanks to all

Mr Mike,

West Seneca, New York… A Proud and Creative Community.
