Tomorrow I’ll Be Living Free and Dying Hard

by Rae Hoffman on June 28, 2007 | General Babble

If you know me, or even if you’ve been reading my blog for a length of time, then you’ll know that I love Bruce Willis. I’m a huge fan of his work, with some of my favorites of his being Sin City, Hart’s War, The Sixth Sense, The Fifth Element and Armageddon.

But, nothing – and I do mean nothing – tops the Die Hard series in regards to being some of my favorite movies of all time. I can almost mouth the words with them. And while I adore Bruce Willis, I think the real deal is that I’m a die hard fan (no pun intended actually) of John McClane. No, really. I can’t believe I’m about to admit this, but… I even have a John McClane action figure.

So, tomorrow, my man is back on the big screen in Live Free or Die Hard and I will be headed to the theaters with friends to catch it. I’ve been waiting months for the opening and am beyond excited. Unfortunately, it was toned down a bit for ratings purposes, but Bruce said he thinks this Die Hard is better than the first in spite of it. Yippie-ki-yi-ay motherfuckers!

After catching Die Hard 4 (oh come on, they can call it whatever they want – but that’s what it is) I’ll be heading to Ottawa to celebrate Canada Day there and head to a friend’s legendary Canada Day barbecue. I’ll be back on Tuesday – see ya then. :)

Thesis WordPress theme

If you’re someone who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality that you wouldn’t be able to obtain otherwise with a simple control panel instead of having to alter code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

For those "in between", like myself, I’ve created "dummy" guides for Thesis hooks that allow us to make more professional customizations than we ever deemed possible. The theme is not only highly customizable, but it has allowed me to run Sugarrae more professionally, with a much more targeted focus on monetization than it ever has been able to achieve before. Please tell me that box has never been opened.

It’s out here mid next week – refreshingly soon after release in the states – and I definitely want to catch it then. Between Die Hard 4 (what’s with the .0?) and Shrek III there’s no comparison.

Of course the box has never been opened :)

Dude, it totally rocked. He was right, definitely as good as and very possibly better than the first one.

Have fun in Ottawa! It’s a great place to spend Canada day. Though the entertainment on parliament hill is likely to be a bit yokel (all Canadian entertainers) :).

The first time I saw Bruce was in Moonlighting with Cybil Shepard, the chick from Taxi Driver. I haven’t seen Die Hard 3 or 4 but the first two were the kind of flicks I could watch over and over again.

I’m not going to come straight out and say that I love Bruce Willis because that would be kind of freakish. But, I definitely love his movies and I have to admit that I’ve seen every film he’s ever done, even the bad ones.

How many other Bruce Willis dolls do you have?

LMAO – none, but only because I have never seen any others. :)

“You… just killed a helicopter with a car”

That McClane figurine has Will Smith ears! Still hardcore though :)
