Hi Rae,

Thanks for the interview! You’re right that we launched some enhancements on Wednesday. The feature that may be the most interesting to bloggers (as you mentioned) is the addition of query stats for subfolders.

If you have a blog in a subfolder of your site, you can add the URL to the overall site as well as the URL to the subfolder to your account. Then, just verify ownership of the overall site. This will enable you to see query stats for both your overall site and your blog.

If you have a blog located in a subfolder and you don’t own the root site (for instance, http://www.blog_host.com/username), you can simply add the URL of your blog to your account and verify that. This will enable you to see query stats specfically for your blog.

We’ve also added the ability to view query stats by search type and location. You can still see the aggregate stats we provided before, but now you can also see where your visitors are searching from. For bloggers this may be particularly interesting because you may be able to see what queries from Google Blog Search return your site in the results. Right now, we’re only showing the query stats for the properties that your site gets the most queries from, so if your site gets more queries from other properties (web search, Images, etc.), you may not see the Blog Search results, but we’re hoping to expand the available stats over time.

We’ve also increased the number of common words in your site and in links to your site from 20 to 75.

Thanks again for the interview!
