Our site was rejected "Lack of substantive unique content" despite have a very unique content on our site. One thing we did realize that having paid one-time fee seems to be the prime reason. I saw other forums where people have complained as early as 2005 saying their sites were rejected by BOTW. But when they submitted the same site for SPONSOR CATEGORY the same URL was accepted. This to me seems like a unprofessionalism. I would strongly discourage people from submitting to BOTW web diretcory. Instead consider other directories like Joeant, Jayde, Yahoo, etc. PS: You have deleted my previous post which was basically the same message. I saw other forums where people have complained as early as 2005 saying their sites were rejected by BOTW. But when they submitted the same site for SPONSOR CATEGORY the same URL was accepted.
This to me seems like a unprofessionalism. I would strongly discourage people from submitting to BOTW web diretcory. Instead consider other directories like Joeant, Jayde, Yahoo, etc.

I submitted my site to a few directories and was accepted. But BOTW REJECTED my submission giving reason lack of substantive content. I made a one time payment instead of recurring. Now i read that BOTW has several people who websites were rejected but when they sponsored the same category the same website were accepted. I will dedicate my effort for the next 60-90 days to let everyone know about this. Message boards or news articles.... I will make it a point to prove that this directory has fraud intent in regards to inclusion in its directory. My site has original content and the only reason i saw for rejection is that BOTW wants people who pay recurring fee or sponsor a category.
