Happy Holidays… Give a Little Bit…

Well, the holidays are here. I’m not a big one for being into the holiday spirit, but I do like this time of year because it often reminds people how much they have to actually be thankful for compared to others. It also reminds us that we’re lucky (and hard-working) as hell to make cash doing things we love to do and that sometimes giving a bit of it away makes you feel damn good.

Below are a few of my favorite charities. I encourage everyone to pick one of these, or one of their own favorites, and make a donation. For those still struggling to earn a living online, remember that even small donations are powerful when added up. For those who are making great bank and all the companies out there filing profitable tax returns this year… well, you know what to do.

Ronald McDonald House (there is also a .ca)- I have a personal reason for this one
Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes
Operation Uplink
National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke
Make a Wish Foundation (and again, a .ca, a .co.uk, a .org.au and a general international foundation)

See ya after the holidays - hope everyone celebrating has a good one.

Rae,

Great points and we always need to take time and remember some of those organizations that do great for those in need.

Like yourself I have donated graciously to the Ronald McDonald homes of Detroit and Ann Arbor over the past 3 years donating all web services to their annual Aviators Ball charity event. You can see a bit at http://www.aviatorsball.com

Happy New Year and to all a great 2008!
