From Sarasota to Guelph for Mayhem in Canada

by Rae Hoffman on November 30, 2006 | General Travel

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my feed or subscribe to me on Twitter, which is updated on a more frequent - and more meaningless - basis.

So, if Pubcon wasn’t enough, my feet haven’t touched the ground for long. If you don’t give a shit about my personal life, stop reading now. ;-)

Last weekend, I went to visit the Sarasota boys and did a lot of drinking and dancing. We took a limo to the club and the limo driver was awesome. Serious… I’ve done a lot of limos and he was a fantastic driver. So, if you’re ever in need of a limo in Sarasota, he is your stop. (Thanks Mike!)

Rae and Markus (half of the Sarasota boys)

We won’t go there on what the hell I’m doing with my hands. Look, I don’t really remember. Ok? Maybe I had a flashback. ;-)

Tomorrow, I’m off to Canada to visit some friends I’ve missed since my move. I’m also going to be in need of snack food while I’m there, so I’m kidnapping the Doritos Bitch and bringing him with me. We plan to raid the bars and cause as much mayhem as possible. The Guelph Storm ain’t got nothing on us. Stay tuned for the details. ;-)

Thesis WordPress theme

If you’re someone who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality that you wouldn’t be able to obtain otherwise with a simple control panel instead of having to alter code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

For those "in between", like myself, I’ve created "dummy" guides for Thesis hooks that allow us to make more professional customizations than we ever deemed possible. The theme is not only highly customizable, but it has allowed me to run Sugarrae more professionally, with a much more targeted focus on monetization than it ever has been able to achieve before. When Rae left Guelph, bars all over town noticed their stock of Goldschalger wasn’t being drained as quickly as usual. Bar owners adjusted their restocking purchase orders, but were left holding on to an excess of Goldschalger. Rae’s visit is sure to remedy that situation and put the Guelph alcohol economy back in balance.

Hope you had a nice visit. Sorry I didn’t get out to party with y’all

Yo! Word!

Hiya - I’ve been enjoying the blog for a while now. The Guelph reference caught my eye. I live in Boston now, but I went to Uni at Guelph and am there a few times a year. Just curious as to your connection.
