Guestwhore Posts - The Guestblogging Archives

I'm an admitted workaholic, but every year I take one ten day vacation (usually to somewhere in the Carribean) where the purpose is fun, sun and forgetting that I own a BlackBerry. It's the only time of the year I'm ever truly "off"

But, I don’t like leaving my blog unattended during that time, so the first year I took my vacation, i put out a call for guestbloggers (affectionately called "guestwhores" since they were giving up some free content for exposure.

Guestwhore week has only one rule and that is that posts can't be "serious" in nature. It’s essentially my blog's vacation from providing Internet marketing advice.

Oddly, guestwhore week was a huge success and I have a ton of interest from people who want a shot to guestblog to a semi-decent sized audiance without any corporate shackles or rules about being politically correct.

Below you'll find the archives for all of the guestblogger posts made during guestwhore week.

Now that you’ve seen some of the fun we have on the Sugarrae blog, be sure to check out the rest of the site which contains a ton of great information about Internet marketing.

If you're interested in being a guest blogger for the Sugarrae blog during "guestwhore week", we invite you to subscribe to the mailing list or subscribe to the feed as both will contain instructions on how to apply to be a guest blogger during that time.

Sugarrae runs on the Thesis WordPress Theme

Thesis WordPress theme

If you’re someone who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality that you wouldn’t be able to obtain otherwise with a simple control panel instead of having to alter code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

For those "in between", like myself, I’ve created "dummy" guides for Thesis hooks that allow us to make more professional customizations than we ever deemed possible. The theme is not only highly customizable, but it has allowed me to run Sugarrae more professionally, with a much more targeted focus on monetization than it ever has been able to achieve before. You can find out more about Thesis below:
