Time to fill you guys in. Next week, I’ll be taking my first ever vacation of a purely personal nature in almost five years. Keeping with my twenty five things, I’ll be heading to Scotland on Monday and won’t be returning until the following Tuesday. No kids, no work, all relaxation - ahhhhhhhhhhhh. Per usual when I complete a “thing”, I’ll post all about it when I get back.
I didn’t want to leave the blog abandoned for that long (though, not posting for two weeks when I’m actually here is fine for some reason in my head) so I enlisted the hunt for guestwhores to keep you entertained while I was gone. I assure you that if you’re not subscribed to my feed, you’ll want to be for the next week or so because I have one hell of an awesome line up coming your way.
I know seven of the nine people blogging very well, so I also know they aren’t going to take the ability to have their say on my blog with a “pole up their ass” professionalism. My blog has always been an “anything goes” arena and I know these folks plan to live up to that. I also have a feeling that I will be made fun of quite a bit this upcoming week, so I’ve also warned my bloggers that I a: know how to locate them and b: can cause quite a bit of pain with a spoon. ;-)
So, that leaves me with informing you of who is on the roster for the week. Here we go with the schedule…
05/07/2007 – Lisa Barone (“The” Lisa) from the Bruce Clay blog who I did *not* maul nor leave in a hotel lobby damn it!
05/08/2007 – Michael “the whore” Gray who makes me fear for this blog during my absence the most. Which makes even even weirder that he is the guestwhore admin for the week too.
05/09/2007 - Rebecca “Becs” Kelley and Jane “JC” Copland (a mozzer tag team) from SEOMoz who Rand has probably banned from hanging out with me ever again after the April antics.
05/10/2007 – Markus Urban, of au interactive, aka half of the Sarasota boys, awesome dancer and tin hat wearer extraordinaire. I’ve said it before, if you’re not reading his blog, you should be.
05/11/2007 – Vanessa Fox as a nude chick, not a google chick. Vanessa has assured me she will be writing her post during her personal time so we won’t be bored with all things google.
05/12/2007 – Audrey Seiberling of shirley tipsy who I don’t know at all, but she seemed to be very interested in the chance to kind of let loose to people who would be willing to take it.
05/13/2007 – Reese Spykerman of Design by Reese who I think is the best blog designer and the designer who handles Sugarrae. Reese has fired me before, so she obviously isn’t
tooscared of me.
05/14/2007 – CK Chung (aka kid disco) who I’ve “seen” around the seo sphere for years, but don’t know much of outside of that. He one hundred percent admitted he was only doing it to be a whore.
05/15/2007 – Greg Niland (aka goodroi) is one of my oldest industry friends and by far has the most blackmail on me than anyone else on this list. Let’s hope he remembers that is mutual.
I really have no idea what you should be expecting during guestwhore week, other than to be entertained. The guys and gals have been sent the “anal list of Sugarrae rules” for posting which amounted to not be boring, not forgetting to show up, to introduce their damn selves, spelling my name right for fucks sake and threats of eyes being poked out with spoons for violations. ;-)
The redbull whore is our guest admin, along with goodroi, and will be approving any comments that need it and helping the other bloggers be even more mischievious making sure everyone behaves. I hope you’re all entertained, and knowing this crowd, may the blog gods have mercy on my soul. See you when I get back!

btw, your keyword density for “whore” seems to be ramping up lately. should result in some interesting long tail traffic.
Great to hear you’re coming to Scotland. You’ll no doubt be relieved to hear that you’ve just missed some unseasonally good weather and conditions will be returning to a more traditional feel just in time for your arrival. :P
What are your plans while here? I’d offer some suggestions but despite moving to Edinburgh back in September last year I’m yet to do a single touristy thing.

@ Jonathan - LOL… I’m not huge into “touristy” stuff. Definitely plan to hit Finnigan’s Wake due to a recommendation from a good friend. I’m having dinner at the Witchery one night and we also want to hit the Liquid Room one night too. Also heard there is a cool comedy club close to our hotel. I do plan to do on touristy thing - the castle. Oh, and if dogballs has any say, I’ll be learning to play golf while there (he has been after me to hit the greens in his honor while he’s home in California). LOL.
@ mintyman - we’re spending two of the nights in glasgow visiting with people we know there. Then we’re off to Edinburgh for five days.
The only comedy club I know about is The Stand - http://www.thestand.co.uk/ - If that isn’t the one you end up at let me know because I’m always looking for a laugh. I’ve been a couple of times and always enjoyed it. It’s a small place so no hiding at the back. It has a homemade feel that reminds me of amateur gigs at uni - only it’s funny.
I can’t blame you for wanting to do the castle, it does fairly dominate the Edinburgh skyline. Many a drunken night I’ve used it as my guiding star on my journey home. The only thing that competes is Arthurs Seat but it’s nat as well illuminated. An hour walk if you fancy some exercise and some ‘bracing’ air.
